SOMERVILLE, Maine — A Knox County man died in a head-on automobile and motorbike crash on Friday afternoon.
Christopher Lascoutx, 78, of Washington was southbound on the Turner Ridge Highway on a 2019 Triumph round 3 p.m. when he hit a Lucas Tree Service truck whereas it was mid-turn within the roadway, in line with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Workplace.
Lascoutx died from his accidents on the scene. He had been carrying a helmet and a using jacket on the time of the crash.
Brandon Higgins, 23, of Etna had been driving the truck on the time of the crash. Higgins and his passenger, 25-year-old Ryan Mack of Waterville, weren’t injured within the crash. Each Higgins and Mack have been carrying their seatbelts on the time of the crash.
Alcohol shouldn’t be believed to be an element within the crash, officers stated.
Turner Ridge Highway was closed for almost three hours in the course of the investigation.
