
ROCKPORT, Maine — A Maine highschool was broken after a ground fan reportedly malfunctioned, sparking a fireplace and inflicting the sprinkler system to go off.
The smoke and fireplace alarms went off at Camden Hills Regional Excessive Faculty in Rockport round 1:30 a.m. on Friday morning, based on the Rockport Hearth Division. Nobody was injured.
The constructing was stuffed with smoke and several other halls and rooms have been badly broken by water when officers arrived. The charred stays of a fan used to dry flooring was present in one of many rooms.
Officers imagine {that a} blower on a fan getting used to dry flooring malfunctioned, caught fireplace and set off the sprinkler system, inflicting the water harm.
Workers at Camden Hills Regional Excessive Faculty labored Friday morning to take away hundreds of gallons of water from the halls, cafeteria and newly resurfaced health club ground.
