
One man was taken through LifeFlight to Maine Medical Middle in Portland after his truck burst into flames following a single-vehicle crash on Tuesday evening.
Bystanders and members of the Bremen Hearth Division extracted the motive force, Roy Benner, 67, of Damariscotta, from his blue Chevrolet Silverado after the crash on Biscay Highway, in accordance with Lt. Brendan Kane of the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Workplace.
Benner was handled on the scene after which transported to LincolnHealth’s Miles Campus in Damariscotta by Central Lincoln County Ambulance Service. He was then taken by LifeFlight to Maine Medical Middle in Portland.
Benner was driving his truck north on Biscay Highway when it came to visit an incline and veered off the highway, putting a big tree and bursting into flames shortly after 7 p.m., Kane mentioned. The crash is at present underneath investigation.
