A Corinna man died in a bike crash on Friday evening.
Merle Web page, 60, had been northbound on Route 7 at roughly 6:23 p.m. in Corinna when he crossed the centerline into opposing visitors, in keeping with Shannon Moss, a spokesperson for the Maine State Police.
Web page’s bike struck a Chevy Silverado head on.
Web page, who was not sporting a helmet on the time of the crash, died on the scene.
The Chevy driver and his 8-year-old son weren’t injured within the crash.
Web page’s dying is the nineteenth bike accident dying in Maine this 12 months, with the state on monitor to see the deadliest 12 months for motorcyclists since 2017.
