A Lisbon resident discovered an obvious grenade on Monday.
The resident unearthed what seemed to be a grenade whereas digging close to a stump on Spring Road round 6:30 p.m.
The Lisbon hearth and police departments responded and saved individuals away as a result of they weren’t positive if the suspected grenade was reside.
They notified the Maine State Police bomb squad, which got here to the scene to safe and take away it for protected disposal.
The grenade was badly corroded, and police stated it looks like an older classic kind that had been within the floor for some time.
