Bates Faculty President Clayton Spencer has introduced that she’ll be leaving her place in June of 2023.
In a letter to the group launched Wednesday, Spencer stated that she’s pleased with her accomplishments since she first visited the school in 2011, whereas acknowledging the actual challenges raised by the COVID-19 pandemic. A launch from the college notes that the school’s endowment has greater than doubled since Spencer took over, and the college has added extra monetary support and diversified its pupil inhabitants.
Spencer didn’t point out her subsequent steps however stated she’s “excited to discover new pursuits and methods of being.”
